Using the 250 Mbps fibre broadband in the house

You can access the wifi via SSID 'Randal-Guest'. The password for the network is printed on the wifi router in the living room and is also available in the small information sheet placed in central locations around the house.

Trash disposal

Delivery locations for disposal of trash

There are no trash bins at the house. This is due to it being a leisure property. The local renovation company NGIR has placed containers at several key locations where it's easy for people with leisure properties to dispose of their trash. See a listing of these locations below.

The house is equipped with the following heating sources:

Operating the heat pump

In the living room on the main floor you will find the remote for the heat pump on the dining table.

  1. The mode display shows the current operation mode of the heat pump. The default operating mode is 'heating' which is indicated by the selector next to the sun icon (As shown in the image on the left. Click to enlarge)
  2. The mode button changes the operation mode
  3. The temp buttons changes the temperature up and down

Note:
At arrival and time of leaving the default setting of the heat pump should be 'heat mode (sun icon)'' and '18c'.

Operating the panel heaters

In two of the bedrooms and in the cellar lounge you will find Mill panel heaters

Panel heater control:
  1. On top of the panel heater there is a small plastic lid in the upper hand right corner. Flip up the lid to access the controls.
  2. If the heater is not on the degrees display will list 'Off'
  3. Hit the plus or minus buttons to raise or lower the temperature (Click the image on the left for a better view of the button layout)

Note:
Depending on time of year and the amount of guests in a given booking the panel heaters may be on or off when you arrive.

Operating the heating cables in the bathroom

In the bathroom there are heating cables in the floor.

Heating cables control:
  1. On the right hand side of the entrance to the bathroom you will find the control panel to the heating cables
  2. Flip open the lid as shown in the detailed image on the left (click to enlarge)
  3. Use the red up arrow to increase temperature and down arrow to decrease

Note:
The cable heating in the floor might take some time to take effect. Please leave the floor heating to 0.0 degrees when leaving to preserve electricity.

Operating the washer in the bathroom

The washer is of type Whirlpool AWE 7519 rated at 5kg capacity

Prerequisites:
  1. Ensure that the electric cable of the washer is inserted in the socket above the machine
  2. Ensure that the water stop is open and pointing out into the room (If the tap is turned to the left the water stop is active)

Watching TV

Using Chromecast guide

Both tv’s in the house are connected to a Chromecast device. Ensure you are on the 'Randal-Guest' Wifi network and the TV is on. You should now be able to cast content from your phone, tablet or pc to the TVs. Note: There are no standard TV channels available

Charging an electric vehicle

Contact rated for EV usage available in the driveway

On the right hand side of the driveway in front of the house you will find a regular Schuko socket where you can charge your EV. It is following the Norwegian standard which allows charging EVs:

  • The plug has it's own electricity course
  • It is rated at 10A (Charge effect of about 2.3kW)
  • It has a ground fault circuit breaker

Note:
Always disconnect the charger from your car before taking out the schuko plug

Outdoor furniture

Chairs and tables available in cellar

Several types of chairs and tables are available for outside use. You can find these in the cellar.

Note:
Please ensure that all outdoor furniture is put back into the cellar before leaving.
